My stay at Salt Lake City Marriott University Park was quite mixed. While the stunning mountain views and the cleanliness of my room were highlights, serious concerns overshadowed my experience. The lack of air conditioning turned my stay into an uncomfortable ordeal, and the disorganization at check-in and throughout the restaurant was frustrating.

Rooms
5.0
Although my room was clean and had a nice layout, the absence of proper air conditioning made it uncomfortable during the night, with the temperature lingering between 78 to 80 degrees despite the misleading thermostat.
Service
6.0
The staff I encountered were friendly and accommodating, but they seemed overwhelmed. I found myself waiting too long to be attended to at the bar, with the bartender not acknowledging me even after multiple eye contacts.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was convenient for access to hospitals and universities, contributing to a scenic atmosphere; however, it's a bit removed from some city attractions and dining options.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were limited, and I found the breakfast service to be slow. Despite the challenging service, one waiter, Elias, stood out for his really good attention to guests.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like room service were satisfactory, yet the overall management felt chaotic. There were issues with my reservation and billing that added unnecessary stress to my stay.

6.2/10

During my stay at Salt Lake City Marriott University Park, I appreciated the good location and the comfort of the room, although I did encounter some service hiccups. The hotel's proximity to the university was a major plus for me, especially with the beautiful mountain views surrounding the hotel. However, I did experience some issues with cleanliness in my room that detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room was mostly clean and comfortable, although I found some long black hairs in the bathroom and bedding, which was disappointing. I also felt the pillows weren't up to the usual Marriott standards.
Service
5.0
While the staff members were generally friendly and accommodating, I had a frustrating check-in experience that left a sour note. They were unable to have my room ready on time, which was not typical of my previous Marriott experiences.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location near the university and hiking paths was fantastic, which made it easy for me to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Plus, the complimentary shuttle was handy for getting around.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the on-site restaurant, although I thought the breakfast options were a bit pricey for what was offered. The Starbucks in the lobby was a nice touch to start my day, though.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel's facilities included a nice gym and well-kept event spaces, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere overall. The common areas were quite nice, which I appreciated during downtime.

6.0/10

My stay at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park was quite enjoyable overall. The location near the University is a major plus, and I appreciated the beautiful mountain views. However, the cleanliness of the room could've been better, and the breakfast service felt a bit understaffed at times. I would rate my experience a solid 8.0. 😊

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding. However, I found a couple of pieces of trash left from a previous guest, which was a bit off-putting.
Service
8.0
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly at breakfast where one staff member went out of their way to ensure all guests felt welcomed.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is ideal if you need to be near the University of Utah. The stunning mountain views from the hotel add to its charm.
Dining
7.0
The food at the hotel restaurant was good, but the breakfast could use more staff to improve service efficiency. Overall, I enjoyed my meals but they could be pricey for what was offered.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel has solid facilities, including a Starbucks in the lobby and a clean, walkable environment. Room service was better than expected, though a bit pricey.

6.4/10

My stay at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park offered a mix of comfort and convenience, though there were a few bumps along the way. The hotel's location near the University of Utah is a plus for visits to the campus. I appreciated the large bed and workspace in my room, though the cleanliness left something to be desired. Also, the dining options fell short of expectations with a breakfast that was slower to start than promised. Overall, it was a decent stay, but some improvements would elevate the experience. 🌄

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were reasonably spacious, featuring a comfortable king bed and a work desk. However, I noticed cleanliness issues like hair in the shower and dusty surfaces, which detracted from my experience.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and made efforts to accommodate my requests, although I did experience some delays with coffee service. I appreciated their accommodating nature, especially during breakfast where I did receive a personal touch.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated conveniently near the University of Utah and hospitals, which made it perfect for my needs. However, the immediate area has limited dining options, which could be a drawback for some.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast service started later than expected, and the offerings were uninspiring. That said, the staff were nice, which somewhat compensated for the lack of variety.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like the gym and event spaces were decent, though I did find the lobby and conference rooms uncomfortably cold. Having parking included was a nice perk.

6.6/10

I had a mixed experience at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park. The location was perfect for my daughter's audition at the nearby university, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, the room was on the smaller side and felt like it could've used a better clean. The dining options were decent, but I expected more for the price. Overall, it was an adequate stay but not without its shortcomings.

Rooms
6.0
My room was small and renovated, but it didn't feel very fresh as it appeared cleaned in a rush. I noticed the towels were a bit dingy, which wasn't appealing. The beds were okay, but I wouldn’t want to stay more than one night in that kind of room.
Service
8.0
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful when we checked in and made sure we got settled comfortably. I appreciated that they helped me switch rooms when the first one didn’t meet my needs.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s setting is very pretty, making it convenient for anyone needing to be close to the University of Utah. I loved the views of the surrounding mountains!
Dining
7.0
The food was decent in the restaurant, although it felt overpriced. I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, but I noticed the service could've been faster, especially on a busy Saturday night. The breakfast service stood out with a waiter named Elias who was great.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some nice amenities, but certain areas seemed a bit neglected, like the dust around the interior piping. Still, the event facilities looked professional for conferences or gatherings.
